The Podere del Pereto rises in a naturalistic context of peace and harmony, between the Ombrone valley and the Valdichiana, in the heart of the Crete Senesi, where the docile hill profiles are covered with thick oak woods, allowing glimpses here and there of the remains of medieval fortifications and traces of Roman and Etruscan settlements. A piece of Tuscan countryside gilded by wheat fields and by the caresses of the sun, set on fire by romantic sunsets in the evening, pierced by harmonious silences during the day.

Historical evidence

The Podere del Pereto formerly belonged to the Hospital of S. Maria della Scala, the houses of the Podere del Pereto have already been mentioned since 1751 on the Cabrei delle Grance of the Santa Maria della Scala Hospital as evidence of the long history of our Agriturismo. Podere del Pereto offers hospitality in an agritourism with a cozy and familiar atmosphere, ideal for those who want to spend a few days of serene relaxation. Outside the structure, immersed in the greenery of the garden, there is a swimming pool surrounded by spaces equipped with deck chairs and umbrellas. In front of the swimming pool, the farmhouse has a covered pergola, equipped with tables, chairs and a barbecue.

Territory

The Podere del Pereto organic farm is located in the immediate vicinity of the town of Rapolano Terme, central for visiting some of the most; famous historical, naturalistic and artistic emergencies of Tuscany and Italy. Suffice it to say that in less than 20 minutes by car we can visit the wonderful Siena, with its square, its churches and its streets that smell of Palio and history. In a few minutes we can find ourselves in the center of the Crete Senesi, unique for its lunar landscape, uncontaminated and truly suggestive. It will be possible to quickly reach Monte Oliveto Maggiore, with its famous kiosk entirely frescoed by Sodoma or the splendid Pienza, famous for its colors and unique flavours. For lovers of good wine, you are spoiled for choice: in less than 20 minutes you will find yourself immersed in the Sienese Chianti hills, famous for its Black Rooster and for the beautiful expanses of vineyards. Talking about places like Montalcino and Montepulciano (less than 40 minutes by car from our structure) only for the indisputable goodness of their wines and their artisanal productions would be an understatement: here history and traditions come together to give light to places that are unique in their kind and in their history, obligatory destinations for those who want to discover the treasures of our peninsula. In a single day it will also be possible to visit cities such as San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Florence or Pisa. For those who prefer short trips it will be; It is possible to visit the villages in the immediate vicinity of Podere del Pereto starting from Serre di Rapolano, with its castle dressed up for the holidays during the Serre Maggio, a local event recalling the medieval and ancient past of the Rapolano village which was Siena's granary. Rapolano Terme itself, as well as for its two thermal establishments, deserves a visit to its historical center and to the original National Museum of the Crib. The course of Asciano will gladden your visit with its artisan workshops and its two museums, among the most beautiful in the province: the Civic Museum of Archeology and Sacred Art Palazzo Corboli (Etruscan museum) as well as the Cassioli Museum of Sienese painting of the Nineteenth century. Furthermore, the town of San Giovanni d'Asso, with its castle and its unique Truffle Museum will be a must for lovers of the precious black and white tuber.
