Podere Pereto became an AIAB ICEA- controlled organic farm in 1993. At the present time, we cultivate cereals, pulses, vegetables and olives. We are located 30km from Siena, in the comune of Rapolano Terme, and on the border with the spectacular landscape of Crete Senesi.
We have chosen to farm organically, out of respect for the still marvelously unspoiled land which has welcomed us, Tuscany, and because we believe that in life, as in work, it is essential to maintain the natural balance of what we have been generously given.
It is in order to maintain this balance that we have implemented a series of strategies so that the land, and the crops cultivated on it, grow optimally and ensure a final product of great nutritional value.
Putting this philosophy into action, Podere Pereto has successfully reintroduced a number of old varieties of vegetables and cereals - of exceptional quality and taste.
Podere Pereto collaborates with a group of farmers, all of whom value biodiversity and invest their energy and resources into the recovery and protection of the area’s plants and typical products, with the aim of guaranteeing their genetic heritage.
